How can philanthropy catalyse the conditions for place-based, community-led regeneration?
A report funded by Joseph Rowntree Foundation to explore how philanthropic funds could accelerate the conditions for place-based regeneration. Led by Really Regenerative CIC, in collaboration with Regen Labs.
Place-Based Community-Led Regeneration: From Drip Feed to Flow
In 2024 Joseph Rowntree Foundation commissioned Really Regenerative CIC to study the enabling conditions for place-based community-led regeneration to flourish. In partnership with Regen Labs in Australia, we looked at two core questions:
What conditions and capacities enable communities to steward holistic, regenerative transformation of their places, at the level, longevity and depth required by the polycrisis?
How - as a philanthropic organisation - can Joseph Rowntree Foundation play the most catalytic role in accelerating regenerative place-based transformation across the UK?
